form requires members to provide basic contact information. We use
your contact information (such as email address) from the
registration form to send you newsletters and occasional information
or offers that we feel are relevant and helpful to subscribers. You
may opt-out of receiving further communications; see the Opting Out
of Further Communications section below.
You may also register for
Quitting Smoking newsletters at web sites operated by third parties.
Third Party Sites may alter the appearance and language to fit their
site and marketing needs. It is mandatory that registering members
are required to manually type their email address and that the
language indicates they will receive information via email. These
Registration Forms Must have our approved Language and Appearance.
These third parties may share contact, demographic, or profile data
that you voluntarily provide during the registration process with
Quitting Smoking. Sites that collect information on behalf of
Quitting Smoking are not bound by this privacy policy, and Quitting
Smoking is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content
of such web sites.
Quitting Smoking makes efforts to have members receive the type
of information they request but can not guarantee a member will
always receive emails that suites their current need. We only offer
information that generates a very large positive response from
members. To better serve you, we may also store the information you
present to us. This information is or may be used in the same manner
as information directly collected using a Quitting Smoking
registration form. We may also use information you provide us via
email or telephone to pursue the matter for which you contacted us.
If during the subscription process you elect to receive additional
information or subscriptions on topics listed on our site, be aware
that many of these topics available are run by third parties who may
or may not have a privacy policy in effect. Note however that all of
the companies listed during the subscription process are required to
include an option for you to opt out of any of these lists at any
time. If you find this is not the case, please contact us.
Quitting Smoking may include in the newsletter, offers from third
party companies. We cannot be responsible for the services or
representations of third party advertisers.
Quitting Smoking contains links to other sites. We are not

third parties.

misuse, and alteration of the information under control. Quitting
Smoking regularly reviews these measures to better protect you.
Occasionally, information may be provided to Quitting Smoking
fraudulently or by an individual unauthorized to provide such
information. When Quitting Smoking .NET is notified of suspected
fraud or abuse, appropriate action will be taken.
Quitting Smoking subscribers may opt-out of receiving further
communications from Quitting Smoking. Our Company gives you the
following options for removing your information from our database
and our mailing list:
Members are provided with a remove
link in every message. Members removed from one Quitting Smoking
list are removed from all Quitting Smoking lists. Members removed
are not sold to 3rd party companies. The Remove Link is in TEXT AND
HTML. Members can also cut and paste this link in case of
client application issues. Members who lodge complaints via Spamcop
are removed.
Members can forward unwanted mail to
abuse@quitting-smoking.net
You must send an actual message that was sent by Quitting Smoking
.NET. Mail sent to abuse or Spamcop may take longer to process than
the immediate removal link provided in the newsletter email message.
We make every effort to enforce these policies but please wait at
least 10 days for any delayed or queued messages to finish delivery
before re-contacting our abuse center. If Quitting Smoking receives
a UCE complaint we remove the member from the Quitting Smoking
Database. Send an apology to the Quitting Smoking member. Provide a
Brief Statement of action that was taken, our firm stance against
UCE and our commitment to monitor registration and email practices.
Provide the member's registration date, registration URL location
and basic user supplied information at the time of registration as a
means to confirm compliance with Acceptable Use Policies to our
service providers. In order to better protect our customers this
information will not be released under normal circumstances. We
encourage all internet members to forward any concerns, complaints
or issues to
abuse@quitting-smoking.net
Please keep in mind:
Quitting Smoking may receive more complaints when resuming mailings
after a long pause or when a number of other conditions are present.
Members commonly receive huge amounts of UCE from other uncontrolled
abusers and lodge complaints against anything in their inbox with
the word "debt" or "credit" in it as we well understand. Members are
afraid to click remove or are frustrated as we well understand.
Members use auto filters to forward mail based on content and
keywords to Spamcop.net. Quitting Smoking and it's partners are
legitimate and we are here to stay. We provide sought after services
for millions of paying customers and always look to them and our
Internet Service Providers for guidance in matters of AUPs and "good
business practices". Quitting Smoking .NET attempts to comply with
all legislative and judicial orders. These orders will take
precedence over the details stated in the policy above. |
